errare is a multi-disciplinary studio focused on sensory spatial design. We are interested in creating emotional connection through the rendering of space, treatment of materials, and construction of form.

Our practice explores worldbuilding and draws on storytelling elements, which are determined by how they interact in correspondence to the body. We utilize object making, digital components, sensory cues, and ephemera to create multi-dimensional spaces and experiences. These responsive environments create dialogue between humanness, technology, and the natural world.

Errare (e-ˈrär-ā) is a Latin word meaning to wander or roam. In the geological context, it refers to the slow movement of glacial erratic rocks traced over land mass, which helps illustrate the passing of time.*

Our ethos is shaped by quantifying time and space through the use of both the earthly and abstract. We assign value to slowness, the intangible, and finding ways to extend the breadth within moments.

*This concept is expertly documented in the book A Guide Through Hue by Sibylle Eimermacher.
